This explains what information Sway processes across the website, dashboard, and bot - and what we do to keep it safe.
Information we process
What Sway actually collects to function.
- Account identifiers from connected providers, like Discord and Roblox.
- Guild and configuration data needed to run moderation and management features.
- Operational logs and diagnostics, used for reliability, abuse prevention, and debugging.
- Authentication session data, so dashboard sign-in stays active.
How it's used
What that data is actually for.
- Running the dashboard and bot features you and your server owners ask for.
- Applying permissions, security checks, and anti-abuse enforcement.
- Handling account linking, verification, and session management.
- Keeping the service reliable through monitoring and incident response.
Storage and security
Where your data lives and who can touch it.
- Primary data sits in secured database infrastructure.
- Caching and performance data may live in Redis-backed systems.
- Only authorized personnel and service processes can access operational data.
- Transport security and environment-based secrets protect credentials in transit and at rest.
Data retention
How long we keep what we collect.
- Configuration and service records stick around while the service is active or while we need them for integrity.
- Security logs may be kept longer when needed for abuse prevention or investigations.
- Session data expires based on our authentication policy and token lifecycle.
- Retention can extend further if the law or an active dispute requires it.
Your rights
What you can ask us to do with your data.
- Request access to the data tied to your account, where that's feasible.
- Request correction or deletion, within security and legal limits.
- Request a review of enforcement-related records through support.
- Ask which providers are connected in your account's context.
Note
Sway never stores your third-party provider passwords. Sign-in always runs through the provider's own official login flow.
Payments and billing
How premium subscriptions touch your data.
- Stripe processes premium billing on Stripe-hosted checkout and portal pages.
- We keep only the billing records needed for account linking and service status - things like Stripe customer and subscription IDs.
- We never store full card numbers or card security codes.
- Invoices and saved payment methods are managed by Stripe, under Stripe's own privacy terms.
Third-party services
Where Sway relies on someone else's infrastructure.
Sway depends on third-party providers for identity and infrastructure. Whatever they process is governed by their own policies, not this one.
