Terms of Service

These Terms cover how you can use Sway - the website, dashboard, API, and the Discord bot itself. Using Sway means you've agreed to what's below.
Scope and eligibility
Who these terms apply to, and what they cover.
- Sway covers swaybot.dev, its API routes, and the Discord bot's features - moderation, starboard, auto-reply, and everything else it runs.
- You're bound by Discord's Terms and Community Guidelines as well as any law that applies to you.
- You're responsible for what happens through your account and the servers you connect.
Notice
If you do not agree with anything noted in our Terms of Service, you are required to cease use of Sway Services. By continuing to use our services, you waive your right to dispute any enforcement action taken in accordance with our Terms of Service.
Acceptable use
Sway is licensed to you - limited, revocable, and non-exclusive.
- No exploitation, harassment, fraud, phishing, or abusive automation.
- No reverse engineering, unauthorized access attempts, or bypassing restrictions we've put in place.
- No using Sway's name, logo, or other assets to impersonate us or mislead anyone.
- No reselling or redistributing restricted features without our written sign-off.
Availability and changes
Sway ships fast, and that means things move.
- We can add, change, restrict, or remove features at any time, with or without notice.
- Maintenance and incidents can cause outages or degraded behavior temporarily.
- We may introduce paid features, plan limits, or change entitlement rules going forward.
Caution
Beta and experimental features can change quickly or break. Use them knowing that.
Premium billing
How paid server subscriptions are handled.
- Stripe processes all premium payments - we don't handle your card directly.
- Sway never stores full card numbers or security codes on our systems.
- Premium attaches to whichever server you select at checkout, and you manage it from the billing portal.
- Billing cycles, cancellations, and invoices follow Stripe's checkout and billing terms.
Enforcement
What happens when these Terms are broken.
- Abuse, malicious behavior, or repeated violations can lead to immediate action - no warning required.
- We can restrict access to the dashboard, API, or specific bot modules at the user, account, or server level.
- If we detect evasion, we may blacklist every account linked to it.
Liability disclaimer
Sway is provided as-is and as-available.
- We don't promise uninterrupted service, error-free behavior, or compatibility with everything.
- To the extent the law allows, Sway isn't liable for indirect damages.
- Backups and moderation calls in your own communities are on you.
